UB is dead

Those following online poker know that many sites that don't let American's play, except Poker Stars, have struggled to have players. This is especially true for the Cereus Network (UB/AP) which haven't exactly been the poster children for ethical business practices. Despite the scandals, I'll always have a soft spot for the site as it was the first one I joined and was one where I had much success.

Today, as I was reviewing my stats for the year, I go to every site I have money on to confirm balances and player points. I don't have much money on UB, withdrew most of it when I could, but still have a few bucks as well as some tournament $ there. I saw their opening page which says "3420 players on 526 tables". Out of curiosity, I wanted to see if there was any Omaha or O/8 being played. There wasn't a single person on a cash table. In fact, there wasn't a soul on and Stud variant or Mixed game table. There are 6 people playing limit (actually, they are all sitting alone at a table waiting for others) and 21 players on the NLHE tables.

There you have it, 27 people playing cash ring games at the moment on UB. I knew things were bad, but I never realized how bad they actually were!
